York Walls Festival app for iPhone and iPad

This is the official app for the York Walls Festival, which contains multimedia tours taking you round the world famous walls of York.

There are 2 tours available - an adult tour (around the Walmgate area) and a family tour (around the Museum Gardens area). Either or both tours can be done at any time - the only difference is the family tour features a quiz at each stopping point.

The tours feature audio voiceovers telling you about each stopping point ,as well as a time traveller image - superimposing the old view of the walls over a modern image. There is also a 3D model of each stopping point illustrating how each point on the walls looked in the medieval age.

The tour is completely free and can be done at any time when the walls are open.
